Stellantis redefines industry benchmarks by introducing MyTasks, a groundbreaking tool that transforms fleet management and driver communication through direct integration with the vehicle’s infotainment system. This pioneering solution marks the first of its kind, offering a seamless, interactive platform for task management within the commercial fleet domain.
Distinctively, MyTasks leverages the built-in capabilities of the vehicle’s infotainment unit, facilitating a direct, distraction-free communication channel between fleet managers and drivers. This strategy not only eliminates the reliance on mobile phones, thereby reducing distractions but also obviates the need for aftermarket accessories, delivering streamlined, efficient, and safer fleet operations.
The application’s innovation stems from a patented interface that supports over-the-air updates and capabilities, rendering MyTasks accessible on current Stellantis vehicles equipped with the requisite technology. This feature ensures immediate utility without necessitating new vehicle purchases.
The operational advantages of MyTasks span considerable breadth. Fleet managers or dispatchers can delegate tasks or adjust schedules via an online portal, with drivers receiving immediate notifications on their infotainment screens. This interconnectivity facilitates direct navigation routing and real-time task status updates, boosting efficiency and responsiveness in field operations.
Yves Bonnefont, Chief Software Officer at Stellantis, highlights the customer-centric development of MyTasks: “A breakthrough tool like MyTasks is the result of when we put our customers’ needs above all else. We know that our B2B customers value efficiency and safety for their drivers and their fleets and we are using the capabilities built into our vehicles to cut down on the potential distractions and deliver key information to make their job easier.”
In partnership with Free2move, MyTasks will augment its commercial offerings, enriching existing solutions like Preventive Maintenance and Connect Fleet. The service’s adaptability is further amplified with API integration options, permitting B2B partners to weave MyTasks into their daily fleet activity planning tools. Pro One, the Stellantis Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, will lead the adoption of this technology.
With plans for deployment in the first half of this year in Europe, MyTasks will become available for compact and mid-size vans from illustrious brands such as Citroën, FIAT Professional, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. The expansion strategy includes extending its reach to large vans, compatible passenger cars in Europe, and commercial vehicles in North America by the conclusion of this year.
This initiative plays a crucial role in Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic vision, underscoring the company’s commitment to advancing technologies that bolster safety and streamline information delivery for drivers. Anticipating the future, Stellantis is also developing STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit, and STLA AutoDrive—three novel technology platforms set for launch starting in 2024, poised to further elevate modern mobility standards.
