The updated 2026 Nissan Sentra sedan is set to arrive in showrooms later this year, featuring a new design and the ProPilot Assist system at its most affordable price yet.
The revamped Sentra emphasizes aerodynamic styling, with Nissan aiming to improve efficiency. The front end features a smoother design compared to the previous model, highlighted by a unique grille and seamlessly integrated headlights that create a sharp, striking appearance.
The 2026 Nissan Sentra comes equipped with upgraded standard technology across the lineup. All models now feature a spacious 12.3-inch center touchscreen—significantly larger than the previous model’s 8.0-inch option. However, the base S trim includes a smaller 7.0-inch driver display, while higher trims (SV, SR, and SL) offer a full 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. These upper trims also support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, whereas the S trim still relies on wired connectivity for these features.

Under the hood, the Sentra features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 149 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that drives the front wheels. Although its performance is modest, the Sentra now features a body that’s 6% stiffer and a retuned suspension with upgraded shock absorbers, aimed at minimizing road impact and enhancing both ride comfort and handling.
The upgraded Sentra also expands access to Nissan’s ProPilot Assist system by offering it on more budget-friendly trims. This driver-assistance feature can handle steering, acceleration, and braking in stop-and-go traffic, helping to ease driver fatigue. It comes standard on the range-topping SL trim and is available as an option on the SR.
Official pricing for the 2026 Sentra hasn’t been released yet, but with the 2025 model starting at $22,835, Nissan is expected to continue offering strong value with the updated version.
