Cadillac is expanding its high-performance EV lineup with the upcoming 2026 Optiq-V. The compact electric SUV is receiving the V-series upgrade, enhancing both its sporty design and overall performance capabilities.
Five months after the 2025 Optiq made its dealership debut, Cadillac is unveiling the high-performance Optiq-V. Equipped with 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque, the variant achieves 0–60 mph in just 3.5 seconds using Velocity Max mode.
Although the Optiq-V isn’t fast as the Lyriq-V, introduced earlier this year, it still rivals the performance of Cadillac’s legendary CT5-V Blackwing. More importantly, it represents a major milestone for General Motors as the first GM EV to feature a built-in, factory-installed NACS charging port. This innovation grants the Optiq-V direct access to tens of thousands of Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. and internationally—eliminating the need for an adapter.

The Optiq-V features the same dual-motor all-wheel-drive system as the larger Lyriq-V, but its smaller battery results in a lower power output—519 horsepower compared to the Lyriq-V’s 615 horsepower. However, the increased power comes at a cost to range. The 85.0-kWh battery is estimated to provide 275 miles per charge, which is 25 miles less than the non-V variant.
The model comes equipped with Super Cruise, GM’s advanced hands-free driving system, along with a stunning 33-inch LED display, integrated Google Built-in features, and a premium 19-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos for immersive sound quality.

The Optiq-V sets itself apart with a distinctive front fascia and a signature V-pattern adorning the faux grille. Its striking royal blue theme extends across the entire design, appearing on the brake calipers, rear quarter windows, and throughout the interior—covering the dashboard, seatbacks, and even the seatbelts.
As reported by The Verge, the Optiq-V is set to launch later this year with a starting price of $68,795, covering destination charges but excluding taxes, title, license, and dealer fees. Cadillac confirms that the new EV will be available in multiple regions, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and Israel.
