Honda is preparing to debut its newest electric creation—the Super EV Concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this July. The concept teases a compact, five-door electric hatchback that may follow the footsteps of the Honda e, signaling a bold evolution in the company’s approach to electric mobility.
Although Honda remain quiet about the details, the company explained that the concept was created to showcase how an A-segment vehicle could deliver a fresh, engaging electric driving experience while maintaining Honda’s signature practicality. The automaker also revealed that the compact, sporty prototype has already undergone feasibility test in the U.K. ahead of its Goodwood debut as part of a broader global development initiative—further fueling speculation about a potential production model.
Honda will fully unveil the Super EV at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, running from 10 to 13 July in West Sussex. Alongside the debut, the company will present the bold 0 Series SUV concept for its first European appearance and showcase the limited-run Civic Type R Ultimate Edition.

The new Prelude coupé will also take on the iconic Goodwood hillclimb. Positioned as a key addition to Honda’s future electric vehicle lineup, the Super EV Concept is expected to serve as a bookend to the emerging 0 Series range.
The Super EV appears nearly ready for production. Its full-size side mirrors, practical lower air intake, and conventional wheels hint at Honda’s clear intent to transition it to the showroom. A charging port is tucked beside the concealed front badge, while light and rain sensors are positioned near the top of the windshield—further reinforcing its real-world readiness.
According to AutoCar, Honda plans to roll out seven new electric vehicles over the next few years, each built on a dedicated platform and powered by next-generation battery and motor technologies—marking a comprehensive overhaul of its electrification strategy.
