Jeep has officially unveiled the third-generation Compass. Notably, deliveries will commence first in Europe during the fourth quarter of 2025, underlining the SUV’s growing appeal outside its U.S. home market.
Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, the new Compass retains only its overall silhouette from the previous model. Every other design and technical element has been updated to gain consumers’ attention and align with modern expectations.
Design-wise, the latest Compass borrows cues from the Jeep Avenger, featuring sharper LED headlamps, slimmer air intakes, and more sculpted fenders. Its rugged character is reinforced by flared wheel arches with plastic cladding and a reshaped front and rear, now with shortened overhangs. Higher trims are equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, adding a premium touch.

Off-road capabilities are the main objective. The four-wheel-drive variants provide 201 mm of ground clearance and off-road angles of 20 degrees (approach), 15 degrees (breakover), and 26 degrees (departure). These models also support water fording up to 470 mm and come with standard hill descent control.
Inside, the Compass offers a more innovative tech-forward experience. It includes a redesigned cabin with a large 16-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and physical buttons with rotary controls, offering a more tactile interface compared to fully touch-based systems. Top-tier features include a dual-pane sunroof, head-up display, and leather-like upholstery with contrast stitching, along with aluminium-style dashboard accents.

Electrified powertrains are now part of the Compass lineup, featuring:
- A 48-volt mild-hybrid producing 143 hp
- A plug-in hybrid delivering up to 192 hp
Three electric variants, including:
- A front-wheel-drive EV with 210 bhp, a 74 kWh battery, and 500 km WLTP range
- A range-topping AWD EV offering 370 bhp and up to 650 km WLTP range
The electric versions hold up 160 kW DC fast charging, capable of recharging the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. While the vehicle presents a modernised, versatile package, Jeep’s staggered launch schedule and European-first rollout may delay availability in other key markets.
