Dongfeng Nissan, Nissan’s joint venture partner in China, has confirmed that its newly launched N7 EV sedan received 17,215 orders in its first month of sales, signaling a strong debut in the market. Introduced in April, the all-new N7 is the first of nine new energy vehicles (NEVs) that Nissan intends to roll out in China by mid-2027.
Of the total orders, 13,746 units—accounting for 96.64%—have finalized the vehicle configurations, according to backend order data shared by a Dongfeng Nissan executive.
The all-new N7 comes with Navigate on Autopilot, an advanced end-to-end driver-assistance system co-developed with Momenta, a leading autonomous driving technology company in China. Additionally, it boasts zero-pressure seating equipped with an AI-powered adaptive posture system, which fine-tunes seat adjustments based on data from individual sensors, enhancing comfort and support for passengers.

The N7 offers two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery choices—58 kWh and 73 kWh—delivering a CLTC driving range of 540 km (335 miles) and 625 km (388 miles), respectively.
The N7 lineup comes with 3C fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 19 minutes. Additionally, all variants support external power output, with a maximum capacity of 6.6 kW.
Unlike most mainstream single-motor EVs, which typically utilize rear-wheel drive, the N7 models are exclusively front-wheel drive.
Developed entirely by a Chinese team, the N7 is designed for global markets, representing a major advancement in its international expansion.

Nissan reports that the N7’s combination of comfort, brand reliability, and affordability has resonated well with consumers, resulting in strong demand and an expanded customer base. The majority of buyers are young households, with 70% of them purchasing a Nissan for the first time, highlighting a notable change in the brand’s customer demographic.
