Ram, the well-known American truck brand, is bringing back one of its most iconic models with the debut of the 2026 Ram 1500 Express. The new Express combines bold styling, functional features, and a competitive price point, making it a standout choice in the Ram lineup.
The Ram 1500 Classic was the last Ram truck to feature the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine, though the 2026 Ram 1500 Express doesn’t bring back the HEMI, it continues to provide drivers with the same balance of capability and affordability.
The Express re-enters the lineup as a versatile choice, equipped with Crew Cab and Quad Cab configurations. Drivers can select between two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4×4), catering to various driving preferences.

Stellantis noted that discontinuing the Classic created a demand among American buyers for a more budget-friendly version of the popular Ram 1500. This was evident when Ram pickup sales saw a 15% decline in 2024 following the Classic’s departure.
Available in five sleek monochromatic shades—Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Forged Blue, and Hydro Blue—each model showcases gloss-black grille surrounds and body-colored front and rear bumpers for a cohesive look. It comes equipped with 20-inch wheels, a 305-hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and adaptive cruise control with emergency braking as standard. Inside, the cabin retains its familiar aesthetic, staying true to the design language of the current Ram 1500 lineup.

Ram also reintroduces the Black Express package, a stylish upgrade that was last seen in 2019. Priced at $995, this package enhances the truck’s look with blacked-out wheels and badges, side steps, a sport hood, LED driving lights, and cloth bucket seats with a center console. It’s a modest investment that significantly boosts aesthetics and comfort. Orders for the 2026 Ram 1500 Express are now open, with first deliveries expected by late summer.
The 1500 Express, priced at $44,495 including destination charges, is $2,500 more affordable than the Big Horn trim. While the Tradesman remains the lowest-priced option, the Express is designed for buyers who prioritize aesthetics as much as cost.
